We have enabled the AcyMailing plugin "trigger Joomla content plugins" will should trigger all other plugins created which are supposed to have actions on our Joomla articles. The Plugin, Tabulizer, works great in on the website but fails to execute when sending out an article containing the tag used by Tabulizer, showing just the tag instead. For example, the tag [rssfeed1:www.feedsource.com], triggers the website content display but only shows the tag in the newsletter.
Can you recommend any approach to getting this content plugin to trigger in the newsletter or any question to go back to the developer of Tabulizer with that would resolve this issue?
We've wondered if there is any magic about the order in which some of the plugins are loaded that could affect this?
thanks for any help.

Hi,

Is the Tabulizer plugin a "Content" plugin ?
Our plugin only allows to load all the plugins with the type "Content" so if the Tabulizer plugin isn't a "Content" plugin then that's why it is not loaded :)

Content-Tabulizer CSS is a content type plugin.

Hello,

How is this plugin supposed to work?
Is it meant to work on both front and back-end?

Note that if you simply want to insert RSS feed in your newsletter, we have a plugin for this: www.acyba.com/acymailing/plugins.html#newsfeeds

Hi,

Well if it's already activated, I don't know why your plugin doesn't replace the [rssfeedstyle1:...] elements..
Note that we have a plugin to insert elements of an RSS feed, it could e useful: www.acyba.com/acymailing/plugins.html#newsfeeds

If you really need the [rssfeedstyle1:...] elements to be replaced, you will have to use your own PHP code in a custom layout: www.acyba.com/acymailing/78-acymailing-p...ontent.html#template

Hi Tom,
It's designed to work in the front end.
We took a look at the plugin for newsfeeds but it lacks the features we needed for our listowners newsletter/article construction and display.
Any ideas you have on what could be the problem with the plugin will be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi,

Maybe the plugin function is triggered on a specific event which is not triggered on the newsletter preview.
For example if the function to replace the tag is only triggered when an article is displayed on a specific page or something like this.
That could explain why the code isn't executed..

Thanks Alexandre,
After moving the AcyMailing plugin that handles triggering the content plugins from other developers to the 2nd position, we found that you hit it spot on when you said "the tag is only triggered when and article is displayed" although it turned out that it only triggers when AcyMailing is sending the newsletter and not in the "preview/send" view.
It's working perfectly now so thanks for your suggestions on the ordering of plugins and trying it in the send process.
