Hello,

You can set the text you want when using the unsubscribe tag:
{unsubscribe}My own unsubscribe text{/unsubscribe}
You can also replace the text by a picture if you want.

Hi Tom,
but I don't want to use the tag as part of the newsletter.
Let's say I have an image as a part of a newsletter and I want to link this specific part with the unsubscribe function / page.
What's the link (URL) I can enter?

Hi,

As Tom said, you can also replace the text by a picture if you want :)
So feel free to insert the image in the tag : {unsubscribe} your image {/unsubscribe}
This should do the job ;)

yes I understand, but this not really what I need...

My entire newsletter is a picture and in the bottom area of this picture is a uncsubscribe text (as a part of this picture).
Now I've linked some specific areas of this picture to my shop site (via "html image mapping")
Also I would like to link the "unsubscribe area" - all what I need is a link adress to the unsubcribe module...

Ok, I try it to explain again... :)

It's a common approach to create a picture as a newsletter. Let's say in that picture are some products shown. Now I create a html image map and then I link these picture areas with my shop product pages.
On the bottom of this picture is a text (within the picture!), there I write something about my company AND the sentence: "You don't want our newsletter anymore? Please unsubscribe here" And this sentence should be is mapped / linked with an unsubscribe funtion. Therfore I need an url for the "href="-tag...
See my screenshot: I only want to map and link the red circled area! The green circled area is another map / link...

Hi,

As I understand, you're able to insert a sentence on your image from an HTML code (via "html image mapping").
Could you please confirm it ?
If so, could you please provide me with the code you use to insert the sentence on the picture ?

If you only need the URL to set in your "href" in order to redirect people who clicked on this sentence to your Unsubscribe page then you should take a look at the links Thomas gave you.
In these pages you will find the unsubscription URL.

Hi,

when I use the link Thomas mentioned as a href I will not have the email address as part of the link...
index.php?option=com_acymailing&ctrl=sub&task=optout&hiddenlists=YOUR_LIST_ID&user[email]={subtag:email|urlencode}

I guess your macro code below a newsletter content will call a function that fetch the ID and the specific email address and generate a complete url...

Thanks

If you set this in the href than AcyMailing will replace "{subtag:email|urlencode}" by the email of the user you'll send the email to.
So the URL will be set dynamically and you will be able to unsubscribe them via this link set in the href.

Hi,
I had one issue with my editor which doesn't create the correct hmtl...
But now I have the following result:

This is the code in the newsletter editor
href="index.php?option=com_acymailing&ctrl=sub&task=optin&hiddenlists=89&user[email]={subtag:email|urlencode}"

This is the code in the sent newsletter
http://www.aalenaa.de/index.php?option=com_acymailing&ctrl=sub&task=optout&hiddenlists=88&user%5Bemail%5D=admin%40aalenaa.de

When I open this link I get the message "you are not subscribed"
Ans also the newsletter ID is wrong...

This is the correct url
http://www.aalenaa.de/index.php?subid=3975&option=com_acymailing&ctrl=user&task=out&mailid=89&key=pEI7xPMumQ6acw
