Hi Adrien, one question:

Is it possible to show specific content for some joomla usergroups in the same newsletter?

For example:
- The newsletter explains some maths lessons
- Users in "gold" joomla usergroup can also see some specific content in that newsletter.

Thank you,
Regards.

Hi,

Our "is statement" plugin handles condition on AcyMailing fields only...
www.acyba.com/en/support/documentation/1...in-ifstatements.html

So for now you can display specific content if the user is a registered user or an AcyMailing subscriber only but you can't display content based on the its Joomla group.
Please have a look at our official documentation before posting a new message!

Do you like AcyMailing? We love your reviews!
We would appreciate if you could take 5 minutes to post a review on the Joomla! Extensions Directory.
We answered one of your question? Well, it's the best way to thank us!

Hi!

I saw this oooold post, but i'm looking for the same thing :

Displaying part of my newsletter only for a specific group.

I look to the conditionnal display (www.acyba.com/acymailing/159-acymailing-...in-ifstatements.html) however i don't know if it is possible to choose the joomla group as condition...?
Can you tell if it is possible, and if yes, what is the condition? ({if:usergroup?)

Thank you very much!

Hi,

Here is the tag for the "Super Users" group :
{if:joomla.usertype=Super Users}test{/if}

Please don't forget that this test is case sensitive ;)

Thank you Alexandre,

However, i put your code in a test newsletter, and here is the answer : "User variable not set : usertype in joomla.usertype=Super Users" from Acymailing 5.5.0 Entreprise (and Joomla 3.6.4)

The group "Super Users" is correctly created (native)

Can you advice me what to do?

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback.
Please use this one : {if:var.{usertag:usertype}=Super Users}Test{/if}
This should be working ;)

Then you will have to replace "Super Users" by the Joomla group you want to use.

Hi and thank you for your help... Anyway, i try

{if:var.{usertag:usertype}=Super Users}Test{/if}

and 'test" is not diplayed after a test. (nor error message)

To be sure, i tried :

{if:userid!=0}You're one of our registered users!{/if}

And that code works...

Can you advice me something else?

THank you!

Hello,

Can you just put the tag on the user group to check what is returned?

I just tested it and it works with both the following tags:
{if:var.{usertag:usertype}=Super Users}test 1{/if}
{if:var.{usertag:usertype|info:receiver}=Super Users}test 2{/if}

Hi Tom and thank you for your help.

what do you mean "on the user group"?

I created a blank new newsletter, without template, and i put your code inside (picture 1), and the preview is empty, as the email send. The user of the email is Super Users.

I send also the letter to a lambda user, which subscribed the newsletter, with the same result....

Any idea? Thank you!

What I meant was to use only the user tag and not the conditional one.
So can you put in your test newsletter just {usertag:usertype} or {usertag:usertype|info:receiver} to see if the tag is replaced and what its value is.

oh, ok sorry!

That works :

with {usertag:usertype} here is the result
Super Users, bilan, ree*****4, reed***510, D*C, co****on, Et****e de **s

with {usertag:usertype|info:receiver}, same results:
Super Users, bilan, ree*****4, reed***510, D*C, co****on, Et****e de **s

The issue is that your user belongs to several user groups and that is why the tag does not return only "Super Users" but the list of groups attached to your user.
The solution is to check if the "Super Users" group is in the result so please try with this tag (replaced = by ~):
{if:var.{usertag:usertype|info:receiver}~Super Users}test 2{/if}
