Hello,

First I want to thank you for the great component. So far it looks very promising for my application.

I am having one problem.

When I try to subscribe to the newsletters, the form directs me to an SSL page for processing. i.e.
as opposed to http://blahblahblah.com....

Is it possible to change this so it does not use SSL and only uses http?

Thanks!

Hi,

Could you please send us the url of your website so we can have a closer look?
Is it possible you configured the AcyMailing module so that it redirects to an ssl page? (redirect url)
Please have a look at our official documentation before posting a new message!

Hi thanks for the reply. The website is here:
michigancharitybingo.com/index.php
and you can see the Player's eNews in the left column.

Also, I do not currently have any redirection configured and when I did have it set, the url was not using https but I did use the entire url.

Hmmm maybe I need to try it with /index.php?etc.. instead of an absolute URL. I will try that now.

Thanks again.

No that didn't fix the problem. I also checked the Joomla Server Force SSL settings and that is not set to use SSL (set to none).

Thank you for your help! Your reply made me take a deeper look and it seems that if you do not specify a redirect URL in the module, it automatically uses SSL. I added a non SSL url to the module and all seems well. Thanks again!!!! This can be marked as SOLVED now. thank you.

After your message we checked our code and this error could happen if you use a IIS server.
We modified our script so that it won't happen again even using the default module preferences (stay on the same page after the subscription).
That will be included in our next release: AcyMailing 1.1.2, middle of January.
