Hi,

I have subscribed two times using different email adresses to my own Newsletter sign up and want to know where to find the list that tells me how many people have signed up (obviously 2) and their email addresses.

Where do I find the info please.

Cheers

If you connect to the back-end of your website and then click on the menu "Users", you will see your list of users and will be able to filter them depending on your lists.

If you click on the menu "Lists", you will be able to see the number of users subscribed per list.

In the Lists section I see:

List name: Newsletters
Subscribers: 1

I have filled in the subscribe field more than 3 times with different email adresses so should the subscribers not be 4???

Do you see your users in the AcyMailing Users page?
If so, please click on the users and make sure they are subscribed to your list.

If they are not subscribed to your list, that means your list is not added to your subscription module so it's either because you didn't publish your list, either because you didn't add this list in your module.

I have 1 user, that is Administrator.

When I click on it says I am subscribed to 'Newsletters'

So that seems to be fine, just wondering why it does not register that 3 users have subscribed.

I have opted for only an email field in the sign up form on my homepage.

Do you get a confirmation message that you have been subscribed properly?
If not, could you please send us your website url so we can have a look at the AcyMailing Subscription module?

Did you modify the AcyMailing code?

Neither the AcyMailing CSS nor the javscript file is included in your template.

Could you please make sure that your template contains the code
<jdoc:include type="head" />
which enables all Joomla components to add javascript/css files in your template header.
(this code should be included in your template header, inside the <head>...</head>)

Could you also please make sure your template contains the code
<jdoc:include type="message" />
which enables all Joomla components to display messages.
(this code is usually added just before your main content)

Something which may also be linked to your problem, if I click on any of your link, the exact same page is loaded again and again... maybe a .htaccess issue?
So that also explains that the user is not subscribed.
You should first fix the fact that your home page is always loaded.

Hi John,

1st ever time I have built a template for Joomla. I know about the front page being the only one. I designed this first but need to get rid of the 3 main content areas on all other pages and have 1 main content section where all the article text goes.

not sure how I do this though, do I need to do another template and assign one to home page only and the other to all other pages?

Anyway about the code, I have put in the two bits of code you mentioned, one in the between the head tags and the other above the main content area.

see how that looks.

thanks for all your help so far, will definatley buy this product, you deserve our cash!

Now when I subscribe a user I can see the confirmation message from AcyMailing so I guess the user has been added to the list as expected?

You don't have to create two templates to handle that. But that's something you should ask on the Joomla forum! ;)
