Greetings,

So far I love this product!

I would think that a Kunena plugin would be a major asset.

Cheers,

George

Could you please tell us what are you looking for?

A plugin to insert the latest Kunena posts in the Newsletter or user informations from the Kunena profile?
Please have a look at our official documentation before posting a new message!

Hi John,

Thanks for the quick reply!

I'm looking or something that would pull in latest posts.

Optimally something along the lines of your current method of pulling articles into a newsletter.

It would be awesome if you could set up a filter by date to see only the latest posts

Beinag able to set it to filter by date and give a count of posts included for use with the Automatic Newsletter.

Cheers,

G

Hi,

Maybe it could be interesting to also have a filter on the forums so that you could have for example one list per forum with the latest posts in the forum you're subscribing to.

Regards,

Robert

I have to say, this is something I would like.

The more up to date information you can bring to the news letter the more relevant the newsletter will be. With a direct link it would be fantastic option.

But... Whats the real chance of this coming, and what would be the time-line for a beta ?

Thanks

That's a good question and I will share a little bit how we handle the priority of our new features.

There are "important" features for us which concern the AcyMailing structure and that nobody else can develop except us (the coming ones are captcha and auto-filters for example).
This kind of feature is our priority and we will try to release a "big one" regularly.
Then there are integrations with AcyMailing which can be developed by any developer as we use a plugin system for that:
www.acyba.com/support/documentation/64-a...r-documentation.html

So, this kind of integration won't be considered as top priority and we have many other things to develop before this one (captcha, auto-filters, content table plugin, RSS feed, meta informations, module to display the latest 5 newsletters...) but it will come as soon as we are done with the rest or if a client wants to pay for this feature (which was the case of some of our integrations: mosets, jomsocial, AEC).

Well I think that is more than fair John.

Thank you for the response. If I were to create a plugin, would you be able to provide assistance. Because on the tabs system you have, where you have joomla content, we would like to see the Kunena function next to that. So I just looked how the existing plugs work, I could then look at creating a new one. But I am new to developing so I may need help.

Sure, we will be here to answer your questions if there is something in our plugin API which is not clear enough.

Hi John, Have you developed this plugin yet by any chance, which enable us to pick a topic and insert it into the newsletter?

I wanted to create one, and I have tried but to be honest, I'm abit lost, so before I ask for help, thought i would check that one is not already done or in the making ?

Thanks

I may need some help then... I am currently looking at your new example, and I think i get it, but what I cannot see is where you acually display the date/time? Is the example only for the tabs ?

You should rather install our example plugin you can download on our documentation page, it will be much easier to develop based on this one:
www.acyba.com/en/support/documentation/6...cumentation.html#tag

That way you can install it and modify it directly.
I'm sure you will get the whole structure with this example plugin.

Okay, I have that.

Now, so I think I get it.. but i am not sure i do. I need it to list all the topics in the forum. Or the last month or so. And then I need them to be able to click the topic and only insert that topic.

Could you give me an idea on how I would go about that ?

This is exactly the kind of code we do in our tagcontent.php file so you should have a look at this one!
Instead of loading articles, you will load topics from kunena.

I actually thought there was a Kunena plugin.

I was planning on scheduling an automated newsletter once a week with the latest activity on the forum.

any chance of this being possible any time soon?

Hello,

Some of our users use our module loader (AcyMailing Enterprise) to load the latest posts from Kunena (a Kunena module) in their Newsletters (auto-news or standard newsletters), would that meet your needs?
Please have a look at our official documentation before posting a new message!

If you use AcyMailing, please post a rating and a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi,

This seems to be the right approach. Is it there any posibility to see a demo / screens of this functionality? I was going to subscribe to the essential option, but if this fits our needs I will rather go for the Enterprise option.

Thanks, Jorge

Hello,

AcyMailing will load the same content you have in your module.
Then you can attach the CSS you want on it via your Newsletter-template.

I know this module can be loaded properly via our module loader (as used by some of our users) but unfortunately I can't redirect you to a demo.

We have a 30 days money back guarantee so if does not meet your needs, you can still downgrade to our Essential version or request a refund.
