Is there anyone how can help me with this problem?

When I insert Eventlist in my newsletter there is a big gap between item and date (you can see this in the attached file). I solved that problem with a css file for the plugin:

In the templates inline css I have:

h5 {font-family: arial;color:#0a7dc3;font-size:10px;border-bottom:1px solid #6fb053}

When I publish the newsletter on the site it looks good, but when I dens myself a testletter by mail (I use Outlook 2007) the gap between item and date is still there.

Does someone know:

what is the reason for this gap?

how can I close this gap in Outlook?

Hello,

Outlook will apply a default style to the H2 titles.
You can overwrite it by adding some css to your newsletter-template such as
That will avoid the gap between your event title and the date.

The fact you replaced it by a h5 instead of a h2 will reduce this gap but you should rather apply some css to the current h2.

Sorry to have to ask again, but:

<h2> also seems to apply to artikel-head. I would like to have a different artikel-head. So changing <h2> solves the event-issue, but than my artikel-head is to small.

Also: when I insert margin:0px; in my <h2>-tag the date and eventtitle overlap.

I know this is a CSS-problem (and I am still a beginner ), but can you help me:

1. Can I apply diffent title-'tags' to eventlist and artikelheaders?
2. How do I solve the overlapping title and date in eventlist?

There is an area called stylesheet if you edit your Newsletter-template.
In this area, you can specify real css code so you could for example include all your events in a div with a special class and then affect a different CSS to this class.
.myevents h2{ ... }
.mycontent h2{ ... }

There is no overlapping on the title and date on my end... but maybe you should just add a small margin to avoid this issue? margin-bottom:3px;

One issue remaining: it looks like Outlooks still has a margin around h2 in the eventlist.

Groupwise, Browser, Gmail look ok. Only Outlook (2007) is a problem.

The code margin:0px; will remove all the margin in Outlook.
I can see on your CSS that this margin is applied properly.
The CSS of the individual styling will be applied in priority compared to the stylesheet so if you added a margin on the individual styling, then it's normal to still have a margin.

Did you use back our own template instead of yours with h4 and h5?

It almost seems like the first <div> forces a extra blank space.

You are indeed forcing properly the no margin and I tested your code, I don't have any gap between the event name and event date...
So I guess we are not talking about the same thing any more?

You should rather use

(which should not have any impact on your initial problem anyway)

The gap we were talking about was not only between title and date, but also above the title. Only in Outlook (2007). Otherwise (other mailclients and browsers) it looks good.

The div will indeed add some margin but you didn't add it isn't it?

I can see a </div> on this code but no open div and on the second code you copy paste me, there was no div at all.
