AcySMS private beta, let's deliver SMS!

We are working on an SMS component compatible with J1.5, 2.5 and 3.0 to enable websites to send follow-up campaigns, auto-responders, newsletters, promotions, deals, automated messages... via SMS.

Basically all what AcyMailing does will be possible with AcySMS but instead of sending e-mails, it will deliver SMS.

This is our first second third beta version so only a few of our (and yours...) numerous ideas are developed.

This beta version of AcySMS can be downloaded only by our "paid" users
(which means only users with an active subscription to AcyMailing can download it)

This is beta version... we try to test it as much as we can but we certainly didn't test it on all environments.

If you have a bug (even a small weird pixel), please report it on our forum.

What's the phone number format for your country?

We are creating a specific phone field validation for each country.

We already have the right format for:

• +31 Netherlands (Dutch)
• +33 France
• +44 England
• +45 Denmark
• +48 Poland
• +966 Saudi

Your country is not in this list?
Please go on our forum and add your country there with the format used in your country.
For example, this is the kind of message we expect for French numbers:
The right phone number is France starts with +33 and then 9 digits but the first one can not be a 0.
Example: +33 6 54 84 46 97

Quick start guide

1/ Install it!

Well, that's the easy part... AcySMS is an all-in-one package so you simply have to install the main package on your Joomla website and you're done.

2/ Create a sender profile

You need to sign up with an SMS provider to deliver SMS.
We currently have integrations with:

Get in touch on our forum!

So once your SMS provider account is created, access the menu Sender Profiles (just under the configuration one) and create your Sender Profile.

You can choose the "test" provider when you create a sender profile, that way no SMS will be really sent but you will be able to test the whole process without having to pay for a provider.

3/ Configure AcySMS

AcySMS does not have its own user manager.
It will come in the future but for now we decided to let other components do that job so you can easily use the contacts you already have in your Joomla website.

You can for now use AcySMS with:

• AcyMailing Enterprise (don't forget to create your phone field)
• Community Builder
• JomSocial
• HikaShop
• redShop
• VirtueMart 1.x
• VirtueMart 2.x

Access the AcySMS configuration page to select the component you want to use as user manager.

Our plan is to "plug" AcySMS to all Joomla user management and e-commerce extensions.

Don't forget to set up your default country so AcySMS will automatically check and add the country code to your phone number when necessary.

4/ Create your first SMS

Well, that's it... you're ready to create and send your first SMS.

You will see we already have a tag system so you can include user information in your SMS and if you select the AcyMailing integration then we have a few automated SMS such as sending one SMS X days after the user subscription to an AcyMailing list and an SMS birthday feature. Many other integrations will come in the future, it's just the start of a new component.

The interface is pretty obvious... I hope!
